joomla 3.0 compability

Do you have a timeline on when your products will be joomla 3.0 compatible?

Re: joomla 3.0 compability

Hello

Well normally only the x.5 version are stable and have a long shelf life.

Normally I will wait for 3.5 to release the new version for it.

Thanks

Re: joomla 3.0 compability

Sorry for reviving this old thread, but i have a question regarding Mootools

What are the plans for future MJHoldem version as you know Joomla switched to JQuery and provides Mootools in J3 frontend only for compatibility reasons. In J4 it will probably be completely removed.

What are the plans for that?

Re: joomla 3.0 compability

Hello

The cool thing about my games it's the modal popup, because of that I don;t care what Joomla do with mootools or jQuery. When I release the game 3 years ago it was made with the latest Mootools version available but joomla was using the old mootools 1.x

The only thing is the front door, the page where you can see the live game, just before entering a table, now this part is made with the latest mootools (the game too) but I just need to redo the front door to make the game work for a new Joomla version without Mootool.

Regards

Re: joomla 3.0 compability

If i got this straight, you basically using your own version of mootools regardles if Joomla already loaded it for you?

If thats true, then its a bit awkward approach.

Re: joomla 3.0 compability

Not really

I don;t care about the version Joomla use because in the modal popup with the param &tmpl=component, Joomla display only the component view without the template, css, modules and javascript loaded.

Like that no problem with mootools version or jquery conflict or other new problem new version can cause.

Re: joomla 3.0 compability

Okay

The reason im asking all this is because i made my own bootstrap-based template which will load everything from JUI
I unset all the mootools too because i dont need it on the frontend at all.
I will basically create the bootstrap-based template for every component ill be using getting rid of the unwanted javascript libraries and bloated css
Hopefully all extension developers and specifically the template developrs will adopt this practice so just wanted to touch the base with you and explore the available options which will come with J3.5 compatible version of your component

Re: joomla 3.0 compability

Great

I did the same when I create my game. The best open a table and use the view source to see what I did. I also create a cleanup plugin (very useful for that and the bad template developer)

I use the modal popup because I don;t want any interference from other javascript and the cleanup plugin clean what template developer add for nothing everywhere.

Like that I'm sure my app will work  in any template or beside any other component without any CSS or javascript problem.
